At an award ceremony on 11th May 2010, Tenby won Blue Flag awards for three of the town's beaches. Flags were awarded to the South Beach, North Beach and Castle Beach. Pembrokeshire won a total of 13 Blue Flags, re-confirming the area as one of the cleanest in the UK.
