The Tenby House can be found at the lower end of Tudor Square right in the heart of the town. The site was originally constructed in 1802 as a home for Sir William Paxton, who was also instrumental in developing Tenby into a regency bathing spa. Many of the fine features of the original house are still present today.
The Tenby House offers 18 en-suite bedrooms, decorated in a style to compliment the Regency period of the building.
Paxton's Bistro is situated at the rear of the Tenby House and offers a wide selection of hot and cold meals, both at lunchtime and in the evening. All meals are prepared using local Pembrokeshire produce where possible.
The large, lively bar welcomes families and is complimented by a large outdoor courtyard, perfect for enjoying the sunshine during the day, or relaxing in the evening.
At an award ceremony on 11th May 2010, Tenby won Blue Flag awards for three of the town's beaches. Flags were awarded to the South Beach, North Beach and Castle Beach. Pembrokeshire won a total of 13 Blue Flags, re-confirming the area as one of the cleanest in the UK.
