Around 50% of on street parking in Tenby is now reserved for residents (permits are £40 annually and need applying for), so our advice for parking in Tenby would be to head towards one of the car parks (none are free). There are 7 council run car parks and weekly and daily rates are available. There are designated motor cycle spaces at the Multi Storey in Tenby and disabled parking is available in all car parks but charges may apply so check on arrival.
There are also privately run car parks such as the Rectory car park above the South Beach. Many are seasonal but the Multi storey car park on Upper Park Road is open all year. Motor homes are permitted in the council car parks but cannot be slept in overnight
Height restrictions apply at the Multi storey and also at the Salterns during peak season, so motor homes would struggle with access at these two.
NB: There has been a lot of feedback regarding the new pay machines at the Rectory Field carpark (which used to managed by a man instead). Make sure you have paid for the full duration of your stay or you will receive a fine in the post.
Additionally, some hotels, guest houses and campsites have their own car parks. Availability may be of a first come, first served basis, so it’s worth checking.
A map of the public car parks can be seen below.
