Here are lots of ideas for those with younger children. Jubilee Playground TenbyThis is the Jubilee Play Park (reopened 2012) in the heart of Tenby overlooking the South Beach. It also contains a skate park. The perfect place to sit and admire the view while the children enjoy themselves.

Llwyngarreg Garden

Llwyngarreg is a 3 1/2 acre garden in West Wales, right on the Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire border. It was started by Liz and Paul O'Neill in 2000.

Llys-y-Fran Country Park & Reservoir

Manor Wildlife Park

Anna Ryder Richardson's Wild Welsh Zoo as featured on ITV Wales. Animals include lemurs, gibbons, zebras and marmosets all roaming with lots of space. You can feed the wallabies in their vast area and mingle with a lot of the animals.

Manorbier Castle

Just six miles from Tenby Manorbier Castle offers a Norman castle overlooking the beautiful beach bringing history to life. Explore the gardens and enjoy the shop and tea room.

Marros Riding Centre

25 mins from Tenby (12 miles), Marros Riding Centre in Pendine offers beach rides, woodland rides, group riding sessions, with equipment provided for all from beginners to the more experienced rider.

For the more experienced (and over 16 yrs) a beach ride is a must - weather dependant.

National Park Centre Tenby

The National Park Authority's new centre in Tenby not only offers National Park information, sales of publications and quality gifts, but also houses a family friendly, interactive exhibition.

Pembroke Castle

Birthplace of Henry VII in 1457(with the original castle dating back to 1093) , this mighty castle is largely intact and is a great place to explore for the whole family. Exhibitions and activities (such as brass rubbing) make this an enjoyable yet educational day out.
