Manorbier

Six miles from Tenby is the small seaside village of Manorbier with it's magical castle and a dog friendly sandy beach which is renowned for it's surfers. The village has a couple of shops, an inn, a hotel and a cafe with a country market on Wednesday mornings. The Castle was the birthplace of the medieval writer Gerald of Wales and is a great family day out.

Why not visit the Bier House in the middle of the village? Built in 1900 to house the parish bier - a cart used to carry the dead to the graveyard. It is now used as an information point.

Famous visitors to Manorbier include George Bernard Shaw and Virginia Woolf.
