Nine miles from Tenby is the inland village of Lamphey, famous for the ruins of the 13th century Bishop's Palace. In it's day the Palace would have sat amongst fishponds, orchards and a lavish vegetable garden. For information on the Palace call the Pembroke Library and Information Centre on 01437 776499.

Lamphey has several shops, a couple of hotels, a bakery, a leisure facility, post office as well as the Dial Inn. There is a great village hall, playing fields and a Cricket Club which has been going since 1840!
